CHICAGO—The American Osteopathic Information Association (AOiA) today announced the launch of the Doctor of Osteopathic Resources Assistant, or DORA, an AI-powered assistant developed specifically for the osteopathic profession. Available at no cost to registered users of the Emerging DO platform, DORA delivers answers about medical education, board certification, career development, wellness and osteopathic policy, drawn exclusively from curated and vetted AOA and AOiA resources. The release of DORA builds on the AOiA’s AI Foundations in the Digital Health Community.
Early-career physicians increasingly turn to general-purpose AI tools, online forums and social communities for guidance on credentialing, certification and practice transitions. Those channels often return information that is incomplete, outdated or simply wrong for the osteopathic pathway. At the same time, accurate information is scattered across specialty college websites, state affiliate platforms and certifying board portals, making it time-consuming to find.
DORA addresses both problems by consolidating trusted osteopathic knowledge into a single conversational experience that returns precise answers in seconds.

Built for the osteopathic journey
DORA is designed around the milestones that define an osteopathic career, from medical school and residency through board certification and independent practice. Its knowledge base is continuously curated from AOA and AOiA resources, including specialty organizations, state affiliates and the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF).
The tool is built strictly for informational and professional education purposes. DORA does not provide clinical, medical or patient-specific diagnostic advice, and users are directed not to include confidential information in their queries. Full terms of use are available on the AOiA website.
